Five Points Museum of Contemporary Art presents a new solo exhibition by New York artist Irvin Tepper. Evidence of Phantoms Made Real Between <\/em>Thoughts<\/em> features new series of works by Tepper, including drawings, sculpture and video.<\/p>\n

 In a new series of large-scale drawings, Tepper uses techniques hybridized from both traditional drawing
and digital tools to manipulate light and form with precise detail. As a result, both new and iconic
symbology emerge in a mystical visual exploration.<\/p>\n

The exhibit also features sculptures by Tepper. Beginning with common materials, Tepper has created
porcelain pieces evoking motion and life in its most elemental state. He extrapolates upon this motion in a
video piece made specifically for the Five Points Museum front gallery.<\/p>\n

For those visitors that enjoy the Art Cars at Five Points Museum, a new car is being planned, also
featuring the art and design work of Tepper.<\/p>\n

Irvin Tepper was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Working as a sculptor, draftsman, and photographer, he has
had more than 20 solo exhibitions in museums and galleries across the United States, including Victoria.
His photographs of Lowriders and Art Cars have been exhibited at The Nave Museum and at Five Points
Museum of Contemporary Art over the past decade, and he frequently visits the South Texas area.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn or outside of his studio, Tepper works incessantly at making art. He excels in an impressive range of
media: ceramics, video, painting, photography, sculpture, and drawing. He is also an innovative collector,
connoisseur, writer, and art professor. His struggle for inner clarity is fundamental to his work as an artist,
and to his vision as a teacher and as man of the world.\u201d \u2013 James Harithas, from the essay \u201cSacred
Vessels.\u201d<\/p>\n

This exhibit is curated by Ann Harithas, the museum\u2019s founder and executive director.
Five Points Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 1201 North Moody in Victoria, TX and is open to
the public 12-5pm Wednesday through Sunday. Admission at the museum is always free. For event
